Alternative Provision Barbering

Developing Excellence Through barbering

Programme Overview

At The Leadership Foundation, our mission is to build learning communities where every learner thrives through dedicated programmes. We are committed to promoting equity, empathy, collaboration, respect, personalised learning, inclusion, early intervention, lifelong learning, advocacy, and resilience.

Stringfellas can provide a safe environment for children wanting to learn barbering.

They will be required to help maintain the smooth running of a busy barber shop by helping to sweep and keep a high level of cleanliness. Social skills will be improved by greeting customers and holding conversations whilst being encouraged to watch the steps required to carry out a cut. Washing clients’ hair may be required. Providing children can show responsibility, we will teach them the basics in barbering. We will endeavour to find models for students, but they may need to provide their own for more progressive tuition. We may be able to offer a full apprenticeship for the correct candidates in which upon leaving school, can assist with college course placement.
